Feeling very blessed tonight... Amongst all of the chaos is the NICU, Ava seems like she is resting peacefully and in a safe place compared to all the little ones around her.

Her resperation rate is maintaining in the mid 30s so it no longer seems like she is running a race when she is sleeping.  She took to sucking on a pacifier today.  We are trying to promote this so when she starts feeding she will already have re-learned this basic skill.  They haven't started her on a bottle yet.  They worry about aspirating when her heart rate has periods of being so high.  Her feeds did go up again which is also a step in the right direction... She is at 50mls every three hours and should be around 70mls for this weight.

She was upgraded to a big girl bed!

Mimi took the boys and Tess to see Uncle Rando on the combine this morning.  Mason wasn't happy with the yields and the moisture content so he told Randy to shut it down for the day.  So they moved and opened up another 80 to see how it looked -- first two rounds averaged 217, so Mason gave Randy the green light to finish the 80 and then they would head back to the previous field tomorrow morning because the frost isn't coming until Wednesday.

According to Matthew, Mason could not stop talking about it all evening!!

Xoxo
